Sunshine's Mission
Our mission is to create an environment in which each of the Individuals we serve can grow as a person and reach their highest potential. We provide them with opportunities for life choices and assist them in participating in their community.
Who we are
Sunshine Children’s home is a small not - for - profit that been in business for over 45 years. The agency was originally set up for children who had intellectual disability before the age of 21. Several of our consumers have been here since they were children. Today we have two adult residential homes and licensed for 16 consumers. We work in connection with the Developmental Disabilities Board of Jasper County, Connections Case Management as well as other foundations that help with funding for not - for - profit organizations.
What we do
We provide 24-hour oversight to adult individuals with intellectual disabilities. We provide our consumers with choices in their daily life. We enjoy helping each consumer to participate in their community. Our Services include daily personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication administration, leisure activities and transportation.
